Please evaluate this initial offer for Apple ICT3. I think I was low balled, but I want to take more opinions. Currently Sr. MTS at VMware, received Apple ICT3. I was expecting to get to ICT4 but seems like team thinks upper end of ICT3 is more apt. Also, I think it is because I don’t have any counter offers yet.

Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Isn’t B4 the Tier 2?
Pro
OW and S& does tech consulting. Not the implementation side of things though.
Yes - don’t think I could’ve gotten here from a B4.
Where did you come in from? And what kind of industries does your VC specialize in?
Yes. As an example, just did a quick search on LinkedIn’s BizOps team - to give a sense of scale, MBB alumni made up 136 folks, T2 made up 36 folks, and Accenture / Big 4 (ex EYP), made up 15 folks in BizOps. Of the Accenture / Big 4 folks, Accenture and Deloitte had about 11 out of the 15.
Of course, the other way to look at this is that you have a shot at getting the exit opp you want regardless of the firm you’re coming from, it’s just harder.
I’m biased, but for Accenture it’s a weird situation, since Strategy is tiny compared to the overall corporation but places disproportionately better.
Rising Star
Well by definition B4 is T3 so….
What do you want to exit to, that’s the question? If you want to move into something in tech that demands hard skills, B4/Accenture might be better. For corporate strategy, T2 will probably serve you better, although I’m sure comparable experience at B4 isn’t THAT much worse
It’s an interesting question - but “most valued” implies that someone out there has a good survey of market data that can answer your question, and that person isn’t me (unfortunately, wish I could be more helpful). Recruiters probably do though and I’ve heard good things about Charles Aris, among others.
In any event, if you’re at the analyst level it matters far more if you have the right technical skill set. Your type of engagements will probably drive this but your specific research, analysis, and use of data presentation/visualization tools are key.
DM me if you want to explore this more - but the best move is to find a way to get in strategy-related roles if you want to pursue corporate strategy. Otherwise the long road is to join an industry and become an expert over several decades to then enter corporate strategy from the top.
Yeah, I meant the strategy firms listed above...so if exits are just as good but different types (between T2 and B4), what are some of the other pros and cons?
Chief
I think we just said the opposite of what you concluded. The exits are not as good
*cries in Tier 3*
