I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.
Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.
JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?

Prices are already falling. None of it has to do with sellers’ “greed”. Plan on buying at some point before the next school year.
@SC1: The school district in Alpharetta + Milton and Roswell is not all that special as it is made out to be. The rankings of elementary, middle and high school are 6-8s at best... below that of Johns Creek, Suwanee and East Cobb. It is just the "gentrification / coolness / upscale shops" etc. that charm the place up. All the stuff that white folks like, which shoots up Alpharetta's price. And well let's throw race in the mix. Homes are always affordable near the airport.

Generally though yes prices will stabilize. You won’t see a return to 2019 or anything but there will be and has already been a cooling. Townhouses in desirable areas will decline the least in value.
The shit that the fan in the housing market second half of last year and spilled over into first 3 months of this year.

If you’re buying in a sleepy suburb like Alpharetta doesn’t that mean you plan on staying there forever anyway? What does a potential swing in price here or there matter if the monthly payments are reasonable and you plan to live there for a long time?

Sure you can. I’m just saying I would bet people moving to the burb life stay in the house longer than people buying in the city. More likely to have kids etc
I’m in the Atlanta metro area (East Cobb) and just bought in June. I have mixed feelings about the market here. On one hand, it’s way more expensive than it was a few years ago… and according to various real estate analytics companies, it’s super overvalued (however the data is always changing and these guys are always changing their outlooks). I think it’s somewhere in the middle. It’s still relatively cheap here compared to other markets, lots of amenities, good weather, lots of growth happening, Google and Microsoft just set up shop here… so even though the real estate market is very inflated, metro Atlanta still has a lot going for it.
With these things in mind, my opinion is that you won’t see any super significant price pullbacks… but you will probably see an easier market with more options in the future. I don’t see you really missing out on anything by waiting a little bit - but wtf do I know. Alpharetta is a particularly difficult market - good luck!

@Consultant 1: I was just referring to the general crap that shook the housing market last year and obviously that was magnified most in the lucrative near perimeter areas like Sandy Springs. It's a sad story but that happens with the demand supply imbalance.

Currently living in Alpharetta, I also wanted a house here until I seen the average price for a house is like 650k
I am also trying to save as much as I can with my SO. Use a budget, set aside a sizable portion of income, limiting eating out to $100 per week for 2 of us combined (Gone thru numerous discussions to take that out as well but believe we can give ourselves 1 fast casual and 1 mid dining experience per week). And still the housing market is beyond reach.

I’m not sure if this house was priced too high but a house near me in East Cobb has steadily sat on the market and dropped in price. Now it’s below 400k, which, in this neighborhood is not common because of the schools.

The crazy thing is that a lot of people in the ATL metro either look over these places or do not know about them and the proximity to everything Atlanta relevant. To the point that many of my friends are surprised when they come out to my house and find out the distance and traffic are not what they expected lol. Also we do have the works and westend/west side very close so with those areas coming up, my equity more than double what I paid in 2020 now.
