Are there any chances of layoff in IBM ISL as per current market ? Anyone from management can ans?

I hate Kirkland for what they did to me. Got laid off due to intra-firm-politics at a point in my career where I don’t have enough experience to lateral, when the market is so bad for corp/M&A that even with experience getting hired isn’t likely with a Kirkland stain on the resume, during the holidays when getting interviews or even screeners is just as unlikely, and all of this without any warning at all. Recruiters can’t or aren’t helping. I don’t know what to do, but this is a nightmare

I can't help but notice that the most touted exit opps mentioned here are all 'G&A' positions - S&O, CorpDev, Strat, etc. Aren't these positions the first in line to go come layoff time? Prod Management seems like it would be more insulated from layoff pressure (so long as your P&L is in the black) though even that could come under budgetary pressure.

What would be an example of 'layoff-proof' exit opp?

I took a product management course this year and it felt really good and different from the day to day of Talent Acquisition but I couldn’t help but wonder if it was the wrong time for this considering the state of tech. I got laid off due to economic impact recently and would appreciate any tips on how best to pivot careers to product as I am beginning to think that the only sustainable path for a recruiter is to start a business of your own.

One morning after a night out, I woke up in a stupor and believed it to be Saturday when it was actually Friday.. Only later in the weekend did I realize that I had completely missed work Friday, didn’t log in or talk to anybody.

Applying to roles within the same federal agency. I know you need one year within the probationary period, but can I apply to a higher GS level? For example, if I'm GS 9, receive a promotion to GS 11 at the end of probation, would i be able to apply to GS 13 roles if I'm qualified? Hi, I applied for a BFSI domain consultant position at TCS through Linkedin. Next day two people took my interview and said they are good to go with my profile. I might have one more tech round and HR will contact. After 4-5 days HR sent Ibegin link to create my profile and update details. Then it's been 3 weeks no other update. Whenever I contact the person who took my interview he keep saying its in process please wait. Is it normal procedure in TCS? How long usually takes.
