Human Capital is mean girls on steroids! All the good looking girls in consulting join Human Capital. I was in cyber security consulting before and never have I seen this many mean girls in the team dynamics at work. I will say Human Capital is way more fun and everyone is cooler, so I have been able to grow to my best holistic version of myself by focusing more on my health / well being to look and feel good at work.
mean girl on steroids? what a chauvinist and sad mindset
I was at Deloitte HC practice and it was exactly like this. Now I am in Workforce Transformation group at PwC. It’s not that different either.
If you are an extroverted white woman, you would totally like it here. Overall leadership and culture is pretty great but there are certainly some sorority clubs you would have to deal with. Promotions are much faster at PwC than Deloitte. You will most likely to work either on Deals projects or Change Management projects. 75% of the work is in these two areas.
Now are they really being “catty” or are they stern and confident as a business professional and you’re used to women keeping their mouth shut? Food for thought.
My bad! Figured it was a guy - totally different viewpoint now haha
I too have seen plenty of “mean girls” culture in HC groups.
I don’t know about “always”, but this is accurate unfortunately. Joined a HC team from industry and was shocked by the amount of gossip and talking bad behind people’s backs. And yes, the team was heavily female. Hopefully the exception not the rule.
Thank you - we know it’s true most of the time!
Definitely not my experience at GT… holler if you want a referral. I also work in org development/ human capital
That’s great to hear! Thank you! I appreciate it.
I've also had this experience here as well. It's so weird because we're supposed to be professionals, but I've had lots of leaders and teammates just talk behind each other's backs.
Ha maybe. My B.
I’ve seen it in female dominated teams a lot. Not so much in Tech.
Y’all this makes me very worried to join this group at my next job
Not in my experience. I don’t get involved in mean girls culture which predominantly exists between that analyst to manager level. I still build strong connections with those more senior, and they’re the ones who handle resourcing.
In what way? Any examples?
Yikes 😬
