No. And if you have to work weekends it’s especially egregious to ask you to be on camera, because 99% of the time it’s due to agency inefficiency (poorly managed account or pitches) or agency insolvency (not enough money to hire the people needed for a pitch)
I feel that
Not on camera during the week too
I once had an idiot ECD passive-aggressively ask if I was “going to be off camera” at 9 am on a Sunday.
Flames on the side of my face, folks.
If you’re an ECD asking that question you are the embodiment of the Peter principle.
And if you’re an ECD reading this, screenshot this or print it to put in your wallet/purse to avoid being that same guy.
Pro
Weekend or not, “If the client ain’t near, you only get to hear.”
Maybe if I’m on with like a Global CCO. But no not really. Usually I’m laying flat on my bed like the roach in Metamorphosis
Most status meetings are irrelevant and are there to make PMs and account people feel important
Man HELLL NO
Never but our agency generously lets us WFH on weekends! I’m doing so right now!
The phrase “my agency lets me work from home on the weekends” should only be used as evidence of a war crime.
Working weekends are for suckers
Agreed. Im stuck being one of them 🤦🏻♂️
I’m working this weekend and I just took a post breakfast nap that just ended
No, but there were cameras all over the office and we were always being watched during the week. Created lots of tension.
Seriously?
