You are at BCG so no disadvantage. Maybe wait till the last round, ya know, to give others a chance.
No. Round 3 yes.
Worked in admissions at an M7 while a student and did admissions consulting after school
I always hear admissions say Round 1 is ideal, but Round 2 isn't that big of a difference. The only time I've heard otherwise is from Yale who said they had an anomaly year last year where they had so many great applicants in Round 1 that they could only accept a much smaller amount in Round 2. Adcoms always say it's much better to apply when you can submit your best application. Honestly, I'm totally not ready for Round 1 given that most deadlines are coming up very soon.
2am or 2 pm?
^meany :(
Our admissions officers always emphasized there was no disadvantage for round 2. And scholarship amounts are probably on school-by-school basis- round 2 admit here and still got $$$.
*Round 2
It's not a disadvantage, but to maximize your chances of an admit and scholarship $$, apply in Early action or Round 1. Most scholarship $$ are depleted by Round 1 and more than 50% of the class is filled by Round 1.
MBB folks should be banned from b-school admissions
At least the MBB folks knew how to navigate their way through successfully?
As someone else said, apply when you can submit your best application. Don't rush your essays to submit round 1 for example.
