Hi Fishes
I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview

Speaking from past experience in federal consulting, the ceiling is very low and the work is agonizingly boring. If you don't absolutely love what you do, get out now because the longer you wait, the harder it gets. And no, you really can't achieve better pay than Deloitte is already providing you at your level and YoE. Salaries in Fed are driven by what uncle sam is willing to pay... and federal contracts pay for certifications and YoE, not actual talent. The only way to make more in Fed is to be older and certified.
So again, if you don't really REALLY love what you do, get out. Now.
Yes, but having done the same thing myself, once I hit manager, the hours also started to creep up into the 50-60 range. The only pro to federal vs commercial is that you get to sleep in your own bed at night.... Most of the time. I had plenty of 100% travel engagements during my time, and uncle sam makes you fly on weekends.
Depends on specific skills/clearances but I know AFS has people people coming out of college making 80 so I would venture to say you could make more with a jump.
From what I’ve heard and seen you can make more in commercial. A lot of my colleagues have made the switch and I’m in the process of switching as well
So you are a C in advisory, not in D Consulting? Your pay seems to be lower than what incoming analyst would make. Last year in Chicago it was about 84k for fresh college grad
Yeah Advisory. And I heard what the incoming analysts make, pretty frustrating
I'm consulting commercial C with 2.5 yrs of experience - making just around 86k. The grass is genuinely greener in other conpanies
55-60, a bit of weekend work but most of it during the week
If it’s advisory, run
