Yes, because I’d be paid enough to get help
Definitely doable. Two kids going on three. Hourly/daily trade off on prioritization at work and at home but you make it work!
Depends on the leadership, culture and company. I’m on track for VP in the next few months and onwards from there. But I’m already treated like I have a seat at the table and a voice.
Granted I only have 2 kids but I also have a really great partner. My ability to grow at my job allows them the ability to be with our kids. It’s a times a shitty trade off but i cherish my time with them and my company doesn’t email after hours very often nor at the weekend.
How much do you want to see your kids? Let’s be honest ...
Yes but it’ll require you to pay someone to raise your kids, or have a very supportive partner that can become the primary caretaker
We know the hard choices we make. It’s not like we make these decisions blindly or lightly and we beat ourselves up over it.
Both my parents worked. Their absence didn’t impact me in a negative way, but their work ethic and devotion to family and better opportunities for us stayed with me, and for some years just keeping a roof over our heads was the goal. There was never a question of the sacrifice they made for family, it was our normal. They did whatever they had to do and we knew it, they communicated that to us. Three girls was not easy. Live is to short to not have more kids and to not follow your dreams when the opportunity comes.
Yep
