As more and more people are embracing a career in community building, the question is inevitable, can a community be a business? Can you charge people to become a member and still build a healthy, thriving community? Have you seen paid communities work really well?

Yes I believe a community can be a business. Paid communities can work well when they offer valuable benefits to members, such as access to exclusive content, expert advice, networking opportunities, and other resources that are not readily available elsewhere. Think of Masterclass, a very successful paid community.

I know many pay to play communities and I think the biggest thing is value.

Bring value in connections. Education. Resources. Opportunity.
