As the years-long #2 in the Finance and Admin part of my organization, I've been asked to submit my salary requirements for a role as Finance Director with a fast-track to Sr. Finance Director. I function as a Controller and head of HR for a company of ~70, I oversee a team of 2 accountants and an administrative assistant. I've been undercompensated for the last year and a half... is it nuts to ask for a 25% increase?

My first switch took me to 9LPA from 6LPA and now the second switch is being offered for 11.5LPA where I can see my fellow friends in SAP having more than 15LPA at the same experience on their second switch itself. I was just let go from a contract position 2 months early due to client reorgs (Covid). Was filed as a W2 but on a 6 month contract. Would I still qualify for unemployment? Pre Covid I wouldn’t but with the continued Pandemic Assistance plan, I think I might. Does anyone here have experience with this?

I’m currently interviewing for an AS role which would be a bit of a pay cut, but I’ll get to learn a lot so I’m interested. Any tips on how to approach the negotiation convo if/when that comes, besides asking to at least meet me halfway re:salary? They already provide unlimited PTO and free health benefits(which is nice).

Looking at full-time and application asks for expected salary and then expected total compensation as a number. How should I figure out the second? Health insurance, bonuses, life insurance, equity, PTO? I studied art, not math.

Anyone willing to share their companies project management career path? They seem to vary and I’m curious what titles are out there.

Why do companies do this? I interviewed with a company. They loved my work and told me that I’m going to start the following week. They made me sign all of the onboarding papers and poof ghosted me! 🤦‍♀️ I feel so down right now! And I feel like I won’t be able to ever land a job!
