Deloitte experienced hires, who all received written offers and in process of visa/ onboarding, have you heard back anything about hiring freeze? Or recruiter asked you to delay joining date?
My visa got submitted couple of days back and waiting for decision. When I reached out to recruiter to give her an update and mentioned once there’s decision will discuss on the start date before putting my 2 weeks, she mentioned “Yes, we should talk before you put notice” - Am I overthinking? Beat you to it.
Me too
You literally said it, the role got too big. Just see why your snapshot review is and take that and move on. Don't dwell on this.
The project is bigger than you man. Don't take yourself too seriously. I'm sure you did a great job
Yeah, a project that is not the right fit happens to everyone and that first project is always tough. Don't be so hard on yourself.
If they give you a good snapshot move on. They are experienced and realize the role may need a more senior resource. Don't take it personally.
It sucks and will affect you at YE but nothing much you can do. Try leaving with bridges intact and move on.
Lol dude, chill.
Don't expect every project to be a good fit. They might love you in your next project and someone might hate you again ... nature of business. Keep your chin up! Always!
^ doubt it will affect you at YE. Especially if you were told you did a great job. It's understandable to wish you were able to handle the role, but there is a reason we aren't all immediately a partner - there is a huge learning curve at every level, and no one expects you to be at the next level until you're the one asking for a promotion.
