If my guess on the APU is correct ... the paperwork thing is that they need to document it in the maintenance log but it’s not a safety critical system so they can fly with it inoperative. The APU basically burns gas to power some cabin systems when the engines aren’t running They may start one engine with an “air truck” if the plane can’t provide that power itself, then the other engine will start with the power from the first. It’s actually one of the more common maintenance issues but often not easy to fix with you all on board.
United we stand
Delta gate if I recall ... if no A/C I assume they’re having auxiliary power unit problems and things sadly aren’t likely to improve until they get the engines going.
Delta
They are trying to fix the issue before we take off. Mostly a "paperwork thing" says the pilot. I mean the air is not working...seems mechanical to me
Holy shit just boarded from gate E6 at DFW!
And I left from E13 two hours ago
❤❤missed connections❤❤...I'm still here 😢😢😢
PwC1. Can you help explain why my aircraft flew at an avg speed of 400 mph vs the planned 525? I don't think a headwind would cause that much of a slowdown? Were they conserving fuel? We took off almost 2 hours late and I also wondered if ATC had any part in it?
