At PWC, will my manager or director/relationship leader know if I am applying for other positions internally within the firm or not?

Yes. Idk if they receive a notification, but the internal network reaches out to discuss all the time. I didn’t even apply just was talking about it with a director in another practice and the recruiter reached out to my RL

like

Yes, you typically need your relationship leader's buy in before moving groups.

When I was at PwC a decade ago, upon applying,no. But when the new partner and hiring manager wanted me/confirm going thru with it, yes, the old team did find out.

Hiring managers: How is the interview process like at your company and how much say do you have when it comes to choosing that candidate?

I had a behavioral interview with a manager from another team and a case study with the hiring manager. They both took notes as I gave my answers but the first manager was very disinterested from the get go and was distracted as he kept looking away from the screen.

I’m wondering how much influence the first manager has since I’m not sure what he’s writing

I'm in the final round of interviews for two internal positions - both vertical. One has FTE's (my first such experience) and the other a much broader scope vs my current role

I had interviewed externally for a role on par w the internal roles, at a smaller and less established company. They confirmed +20% was in their range

How do I push back on my company if they offer less than that, if I do want one of those roles? Without a pay scale, what is the best way to approach?

on the way to an interview this morning eating a sandwich. I walked past a homeless man who had a stray cat perched on his lap. He asked for a bite of sandwich to feed them both as they hadn’t eaten in days. I gave the whole sandwich over and headed off to the interview. As I got to the interview room there was a large executive chair facing away from me. The chair turned and on top was a mirror. When looking in the mirror I could see the cat. I am the cat.
