If youre too old to vest in retirement otherwise its your best bet of maxing your comp if you have the chance to do so. Likely in most firms anywhere up to 46-47 is the likely cutoff.
I don’t think past 45-47. Since there’s the 10 yr requirement usually. Unless you don’t mind working into your 60s, then up to 50-55
Am1 I did not know there’s a requirement for retirees. We had people retire a bit later last year. I think we had 3-4 partners retire and most were in late 60s
Depends on when you’re forced to retire.
It’s 60 at KPMG.
I mean does anyone else think making 7 figures a year isn’t ever worth it - I mean if you can’t vest in the pension, why bother
Ain’t 7 figures here lol
Came into PA in my 30s. Not sure even I will have an issue making partner for age reasons
Won’t at least not based on age
It depends on the vesting plan vs retirement age vs comp at near partner levels. 55 makes sense at KPMG, but if you haven’t hit your retirement savings goals it might make more sense to stay at md after that.
