My job application status says shortlisted in Mindtree Portal after 3 round of technical interviews. The recruiter told me he will send an invite for the HR round (10-15 days back) But i am yet to receive any information from them.
Can someone from #Mindtree help me understand what process they follow for recruitment?

What we are experiencing is hiring teams that are being incredibly specific in who they are considering so even though we have tons of applications and people that reach out to us, referrals etc, they only want to talk to the person who is already doing that exact job with the same type of client and the exact deliverables blah blah blah blah. So unless you’re that exact match, it’s a no go on our end, no matter how hard we try.
I know that’s not super helpful but wanted to provide the context cuz we are frustrated with it too.
That can only mean they never find what they’re looking for. What are the literal odds of finding someone who meets those criteria? Meanwhile you guys have amazing people who could really help them who don’t even get looked at. The goal is to help your client, the agency looking for the right candidate. But if you have a client who’s trying to nail a totally obtuse pile of qualifications that client has no idea what real help looks like. They need to be able to use their imagination to conceive what the help they actually need would look like. If they can’t do that, your client needs a new “hiring team.”

Tell the recruiter you love them.
Also it means jokes that are really easy to understand @creative1
My title doesn’t reflect it here, but I am a VP of Talent Acquisition for a large agency. My LinkedIn profile clearly states the types of roles I recruit for, yet the majority of people who reach out to me don’t have that expertise. Yesterday alone, I got 78 LinkedIn messages & emails asking me for “a quick call” to learn about roles I have nothing to do with. Not a single one was for a role I actually support. If I got 78 in one day, imagine how many I get in a week. It is not possible to provide a thoughtful response to every one of them. I’m sorry, I know it’s frustrating, but the reality is that if recruiters replied to all of the cold outreach they receive, they’d get fired for not filling their roles.
If you want your outreach to be effective, do your research. Look at their LinkedIn profiles and posting activity. If you’re a creative and the recruiter hasn’t posted about creative roles, they probably aren’t the person you’re looking for.
Also, if you’re looking for internships or entry- level roles, those roles are typically supported by the most junior recruiters. Senior level recruiters typically handle senior-level roles and strategic hiring.
Hope that helps. It’s not that recruiters don’t care or don’t want to respond, it’s that they only have so many hours in the day and have a job to do.
For that reason I wish LinkedIn would tell you the the right recruiter to reach out to bc that would make your job (potentially harder or easier) but our jobs easier hopefully of finding the right person
Not a recruiter, but in case it helps, I’ve found most jobs by networking and referrals. As a Jr I would cold email CDs or Sr creatives just to see if I could pick their brain, get feedback on my portfolio etc and that method worked better for me than trying to apply thru a recruiter (where you’re one of hundreds in the pile).
Could you reach out to your network, just to catch up not ask for a job, ask them how they’re doing, let them know you’ve been freelancing and working on X really cool project (even if that’s a personal project and you haven’t been booked), and casually drop a hey if you’d be willing to pass my name on to your recruiter it would be fun to work on something together.
Know it’s a tough time in this industry. Good luck and try to keep your head up.
Suggest small cap agencies in healthcare. All remote.
Suggest inhouse.
There simply aren’t enough jobs for creatives at the holdcos. Especially at the CD level.
I also have the same question. I’ll respond to a post and then get a quick response like “Hey love your book, on question can you rebuild a carburetor for a 1964 Buick Skylark?”
I say the same thing: “Of course I can!”

Find a connection at the agency that is willing to nudge the recruiter for you. Works like a charm every time.
Apply directly via the company site where possible. Recruiters can help, but they’re juggling hundreds of candidates. Direct applications + reaching out to hiring managers (not just recruiters) tends to get more traction.
How the heck do you find the hiring managers?
I plan to walk in the door with a paper resume is my plan. If anything, it's memorable so it could help form some connections.
I started by email, follow on LN, comment on posts. If I don't hear by then I plan to walk in the door.
Maybe find out where they live, crawl in an open window, and place your resume on their chest while they sleep WPP1? Then leave without waking them (don’t want to be rude).

Question for Talent Aq folks: Do your hiring mama ever profile who they are looking for for an open role? Example: Someone under 40, etc.
Not really. At least not to me. Back in the day? For sure. I think most people know better now. Except execs. They say whatever they want 🙄
