Bain interview - Had a final round with Sr. Partner which went well. They have set up another 30 minutes with one of the early round interviewers (Partner). Any thoughts on why and what to expect?

You probably got the job

like

It's either "you got the job" or potentially to provide feedback that you were close but didn't quite make it. Either way there's nothing to falter.

They are probably also trying to figure out if you’ll accept the offer in case they extend one. Bain is very particular about that.

like

Most likely to roll out the offer. However if I were you I'd be prepared to get a case too.

In cases where the #rounds >=2 and even if one of them is a strong no, they might take an extra round to develop conviction. Best to be mentally prepared for a case.

Typically I'd agree but I would think it's pretty strange to have a partner that has already interviewed do a tie break... But maybe!

Thanks Bain 1 & 2. This helps.

How did it go?

Can you name a firm (preferably NY office) that lets its associates work from a different country with no issues? I’ve heard firms like Latham and Paul Weiss don’t allow it for tax reasons.
