Amazon Hi all, so I'm interviewing for Associate Cloud App Dev, A2C ProServe. I was wondering if anyone could provide insight on what the process is like? The recruiter said 80% behavioral and 20% technical. So, will they be testing cloud knowledge?
My background is mostly MERN focused on React/Node.js. I'm open to learning, but am I super out of my depth?

I get so bored in my jobs, why is that?
Applying to a job is just the first step. Don’t feel like that is an accomplishment. Research on LinkedIn. Find a recruiter, sales rep, VP of sales from the company you applied to…. Someone who might be able to help get your foot in the door. Treat applying to a job similar to your sales prospecting you are so good at ;)
My company, I have learned, is pretty consistent with the low pay to sales team. I have just gotten to the point where I am done complaining about a situation that I am in control of changing. I know about my current company, as a sales rep I would never see those numbers.
What's underpaid? 100k? 200k? 500k?
yeah it would be like being a server whose boss takes their tips
Move to tech sales! Check out angellist for startup roles.
Thank you! That’s definitely the direction I want to go. I appreciate you pointing me that way!
R u in tech sales or at dunder Mifflin. If ur in tech and only make 60K with no commission u need to be applying asap.
Lol. Not tech. Steel industry. Would love to make that jump. Lack of tech sale experience hurts but I have been trying to make that jump.
Being in the steel industry as a sales rep in Ohio, I’d say you’re being paid about an average salary. That being said, you should easily be able to bump up your salary another 20k by jumping to another company within the industry.
I'm 28 and have been in B2B cosmetic sales for 5 years. Base salary $150k, plus commission. 2023 sales goal is $2 million (but I'm brand new to the company). $60k sounds low, however it ultimately comes down to how much revenue you're generating
I'm actually going to be starting my new position (with that salary) in a couple weeks, but $120-150k base salary is common in cosmetic packaging sales, as long as you are at the sales director level
For how our structure is set up, it’s just a standard salary. Doesn’t matter how much business my accounts do. Which can be frustrating. Would love to hear more about your position. Sounds like a pretty good gig pay wise! Good luck for your 2023.
Have you thought about utilizing a career coach?
I have not. I am connected with some resume writers/editors who I have debated utilizing. I have just recently amped up my wanting to make a job change. So far I have just been networking/applying.
Dust off the resume. Connect with others in the company before applying.
Have you received your perfromance reviews? You can actually use them to negotiate for a higher pay. Or you can also check on LinkedIn.
