Hello Sharks, I recently gave interview of Tiger Analytics and after all successful technical discussion, they were offering me Senior analytics - data Science role for 15.5 fixed + 2L jb, considering my current yoe 4.3 and in data science relevant is not much(consider it 1.5+) but my cctc is 14(13fixed+1 variable), I denied to accept this offer. Should I reconsider that?

Does BT offer remote positions?
Yes, definitely. I am remote and there are 7 others on my team that are as well.
What is WLB there?
It’s obviously variable for each team, I typically only peak over 55 the last 3 weeks of busy season in tax
What’s progression look like? If I come in as first year senior how long to manager, etc?
I came in as a senior II at the end of December and am on track to promote to manager next promotion round. My rating was a 4 and I've been very vocal about my goal of quickly promoting to manager and seek out opportunities to move me in the right direction. Hope that helps!
Senior Audit Associate at BT here - would be happy to honestly answer any questions feel free to PM - my personal experience : typically charged 55 a week never over past 2 years and have been fully remote. Comp a bit under B4 but think the WLB has been better in my experience.
I enjoyed my very short time there. I miss how much fun the complex 1040s were and how small the team i was on was. I loved the team and everyone was great and treated me well.
I just found the remote work really isolating. I boomeranged back to my old firm more for "fit."
I missed all my clients and the control I had and working directly with partners. My old firm had a rule that they didn't promote to manager unless you were on "partner track."
It was also hard going in as a senior (both for a paycut and a loss of control) with 8 yoe. I do work at a midsize in the DMV area so we get plenty of complex stuff (704c, 1031s, 5471, 8992, multistate). The transition to BT was easy (I was lucky because the technology was the same at BT and my firm). Also, the team was small and I was just different than my fellow seniors (I get along better with "62 year old seniors")- I love to read, write, take classes, learn, discuss science and my colleagues at BT loved discussing video games or beer. I like discussing the ACE-2 receptor on Sars-Cov2. Lol.
I do think BT was doing well in promoting disconnect days (they added a bunch) and they have their unlimited PTO (though psychologically and financially, that type of PTO is good for some people and less so for others). And I was impressed with the work ethic of the team. And from what others have said, I do think the 55-60 hrs/week is reasonable (At my current/old firm, i usually peak at 75-80, but everything has trade-offs). Also, as someone else alluded to, the firm is pretty transparent about typical career progression and pay (at least in terms of 2X, 3X, not pure numbers).
