Check out 2% Citi double cash as well
I prefer miles because it allows me to basically create a piggy bank just for travel. If I had 2% coming back all the time in cash I would just end up spending it most likely. With miles, when I want to take a trip, I go right to the thought of using miles and minimizes cash outlay for travel. If you want cash, the fidelity (now visa, used to be Amex) is great as is the citi double cash. The downside is those products will never have the same type of large sign up bonuses that miles earning cards do.
