ZS Associates Hello folks, I am a permanent employee of Persistent. I am deputed at the client side. My client is an ZS associate. Recently I have resigned from persistent. But ZS is very happy with my work. They don't want me to go. My ZS manager has asked the persis manager to retain me OR remove the cooling period clause, ZS is ready to hire me as a permanent employee. I will be very happy is ZS takes me as Permanent employee. But will persistent remove cooling period clause? Persistent Systems Limited ZS

Did Agency A explicitly say you have until the end of today? I would tell Agency B you have another offer on the table and see if they can speed up the process.
But, in my opinion, Agency A seems like a better option. At this point, a slightly bigger paycheck can seem like it would make a huge difference but in the long run, it won’t. What will make a difference is working under good people on good projects and learning as much as you can. Interning at a great Agency is the best way to do that.
Yup, in the offer letter it says the offer expires as of March 5th at 5pm.
I agree with all that, so I should be upfront with Agency B? I’ve been working full-time at pretty shitty agencies since leaving portfolio school in June and I desperately need to break that cycle and go somewhere and do good work again. So it’s for sure a financial hit to take the internship but will do me a lot more in the long run.
Take the offer at Agency A and keep interviewing at Agency B.
You can always leave and go to B afterwards.
What VP 1 said!
Take internship at A and keep interviewing at B. Since it's an internship, if you do decide to go with B (if you even get an offer from them, 'cause right now you are some time away from that in terms of steps in the process + that's not guaranteed at all), it's not like you'll be walking away from a full-time job you just started. You can just tell them that you've gotten a full-time offer that you simply can't refuse but that you're super grateful for the vote of confidence from them in selecting you for their internship program. And who knows, at that point A might even make you an offer in light of the B offer, if they decide they'd rather keep you.
Agree with what was said above! The long run pay off is greater when you have the opportunity to make better work and grow under solid leaders even if it means making a little less at the beginning
How a company treats you during the process indicates how they will treat you day to day
Which has the better boss?
Who makes better work? Go there
Agency B now wants to schedule a second interview... Agency A is definitely my first choice but is essentially intern-to-hire and Agency B is a solid second option but would be full-time. I have until EOD today to accept Agency A’s offer.
Should I schedule the second interview and see how it goes even after accepting Agency A’s offer? Or should I be upfront and tell Agency B and not waste their time?
If the interview process is crazy, what makes you think day to day will be any better? If they are telling you they are disorganised, listen and go the other way!
::smh:: 🤨
As an old boss once said, as go the negotiations, so goes the relationship
The internship doesn’t start for a few months still. But I guess there’s no harm in seeing what Agency B might have to offer
A
Exactly^ If a company can't get their stuff together in negotiations they likely won't be able to give you what you need to stay, either. I lived through it, and it's true every time. And if that's not enough to sway you, just always go with the place with the best boss. And not best ECD. The best manager or CD, who ever you report to on the daily can make or break you.
For now, take agency A's internship and keep yourself busy.
If you are still an intern by the time Agency B comes through with an offer, ditch that ship and take the full time. You won't burn bridges because at an intern level, I promise nobody will remember your name or value you. Heck I'm pretty sure nobody will notice if you decided to ghost.
But if you get promoted to a junior position before B bites, your value is now accounted for. At this point, you should only make the jump if you think it will help you in the long run.
