If you are in industry now you’re ceiling on compensation will likely be much higher at A&M. You will work like a dog. They have a good market rep, but have heard it’s a cut throat culture.
From what I can gather - the base might be comparable to where I am now - but TC is much higher. I work 14-16 hour days now but that’s because I have a big team - so I wouldn’t have any real issues with the long days - the company culture and advancement opportunities are important to me. Don’t wanna jump from one company to the other every few years. What do you mean by cut throat culture ?
A&M is a strong player that does good work.
Talk to some people in a similar position there about what it is like. I’ve dealt with them a few times and they always have people who have strong ops experience before jumping into consulting.
They’re a consulting firm that does a lot of diligence and value creation after the deal. That sort of work is difficult and time consuming. It will be a lot more work than what you are used to, but you’ll also be working with far more capable people than you are used to.
Thanks for the insight- I am scheduled to speak with someone who is in the role that I applied for in a few days. Just want to make sure I am getting an unbiased perspective.
Curious what level are you interviewing for?

Nothing against A&M but stick around for that executive spot
