I'm currently studying for the CPA as well so I know the feeling.

What I've been doing is getting up an hour early to study during the week and once I get an off day dedicate most of the day to progress further in my studies.

It's not the most innovative advice but once you're working full time it's all about finding the times that work best for you and sacrifice a little sleep in the process.

Try to strategically schedule your exams so that you can study during downtime at work.

I’m not a morning person, so I usually studied in the evenings after I got home from work. You just have to make the time for it, and be consistent.

Also helps to be efficient with your study time. You can’t go through all the material; at first, I tried to watch the lecture videos, take notes, read the textbook, and do all the skills practice & MCQs; but I quickly realized that it was taking way too long.

Figure out what works best for you; my method was to skim through the pre-annotated textbook, then do ALL the MCQs. I only watched the lectures for sections that I struggled with. I usually finished all the modules a week or two before my exam date; then I took a practice exam and used it to diagnose my weak areas, and did more MCQs from those modules. And took another practice exam a day or two before the real thing. I passed all 4 sections on my first try.

I bought the ninja audio and listened to that while working. I would play sections on repeat to really get it in my brain

Are you aware of the CPA exam credit extension to 2021 for NY CPA candidates impacted by COVID19? It’s on a person-by-person basis and you need to request the extension. Has anyone tried doing this yet? Can anyone shine more light on this? The extension would really help me, but I’m not sure what more to tell them in my email than the fact that I couldn’t sit for the exams this Spring/Summer due to test centers closing in NYC.

Hi everybody! 😊
I've been working as a Junior Analog Design Engineer for a year and half.

Should I wait and build up a few more years of experience before accepting a Senior role or should I jump in and work to fill the gap?
Next year, there will be an important deadline for the project I'm working on and my resignation could be critical for the team, how would you deal with it?

I’m in-house at a small company (60 people), started right out of law school about 5 years ago. We had a legal team of 5 then. Everyone has left and we just hired a new GC. I went from $70k to $100k a little over a year ago. I am expecting an offer from a firm doing business law work but think this might be an opportunity to go to my current employer and ask for a significant raise, with new offer in hand. Any thoughts or advice going into this?
