How many moves between firms is too many? 6 years out of school with 3 firms on my resume, 2 years each. My resume tells a good story of upward trajectory and internal promotions, but I am nervous that I may have one more jump left (if that) before I get labeled a flight risk who jumps too often. I was referred to McKinsey last month but haven’t heard back yet. The system still say “submitted”. Obviously things are slow with the holidays and recruiters don’t reach out to new people for a bit. But my question is: how quick is the McKinsey recruiting process? My firm now can’t get enough people in the door to fill projects. Is McKinsey still getting/retaining employees that recruiting is business-as-usual or are the scaling back/up?
