British airways avoid are a good option, especially now that there is a transfer bonus. They have a distance based chart and flights under ~1200 miles are 7500 miles one-way.
first class international travel
1:1 transfer to DL Skymiles.
Maybe call the question "best use of Amex points for my specific situation that you don't know anything about" 🤣
Seriously though, find a travel partner THAT YOU CAN MAKE USE OF an transfer points to at a good exchange rate
Lol dude gets all worked up, just looking for ideas
Haha no no I was joking, I'm not worked up over here don't worry
*avios (not "avoid")
EASILY the best value I've found for AMEX points is the Business Platinum Pay with Points redemption promotion. It effectively nets 2 cents per point value.
For example, an economy flight RT SFO-EWR was 50k points + $50 fees on United. The same flight was listed for $300. I booked direct with united and called AMEX afterwards to Pay with Points. It ended up costing 15k AMEX points after promo rebate.
I had a cache of 400k points built up over 10 years of consulting + a 100k bonus for sign up bonus for the card. I'm almost at 0 points now after purchasing ~$10k in travel with the points over the past year.
Miles
Thought about skymiles but I primarily take southwest so I don't have many as it is, or status for that matter
1:1 DL is nowhere close to the best option. Korean Air for their 25k RT to Hawaii on Delta metal or Air France/KLM for their monthly reduced mile awards are two of the better options. The best redemption died a few months ago (RT JFK-BRU on Brussels Air in business for 37k)
E2 Yeah but this requires having an Amex Business Platinum (NOT corporate). Not many of us do so I doubt OP does.
