Between the intense push to move as much offshore to India as possible, and AI’s exponential improvements, does anyone else feel like we’re playing a game of musical chairs, just trying to keep a chair as long as we can before we’re all out on our rears? Just feels like it’s a matter of (not that much) time before we’re all unemployed. I don’t even know what we’d pivot to, between offshore and AI just feels like we can’t compete—something will always be cheaper or better than us.

Is it just me or with the rise of attacks on "essential workers", it's scary nowadays to work a public-facing job? I've seen so many videos of workers getting attacked for doing their job, some of them have even lost their lives.

Can I just vent on how annoyed I am with the increase in “priority boarding” of people that are able bodied? I am happy to let them on first. But I think they should get off last. So many times they are limping or in a wheelchair boarding. And then when we land that are the first to jump up and scurry off. Just not ethical.

Career Sabbatical?

Can anyone who has taken a career sabbatical to travel/explore other interests share their experience with both leaving their jobs and returning to the legal field?
I really want to live in Asia for a year at least before I have to settle down and start a family. I’m not getting younger but don’t want to be reckless with my career.
