Adam Grant has some great books. Also listen to his podcast “Work Life”. He I believe he has a specific episode when he talks about difficult people. Culture Code is a good book too.

Would you say summaries are as effective for self help books like "the subtle art of giving a fk" and other similar books? I feel the books themselves ramble on too much on a side story only to tell a point that could be summed up in a couple sentences. What if the second round of interview went average & the first round went Fantastic. But both the interviewer have the sense that this person will work fantastic if I select him/her. What will company do then? do they select or reject the candidate? Happens at EY with me, now I'm in confusion 😕. Ideally I would give the chance if candidate has proven his leadership, learning & managing skills. Any EY person tell ? I know it is totally depends on the interviewer thought process but still?

Currently working at Accenture as a C (promoted Dec ‘19), but I know I ultimately want to make the jump over to Deloitte. I am on track to be promoted to M in the 2021 promo cycle and I know Deloitte would likely knock me down one level either way. Due to COVID-19, it seems like it doesn’t make sense to jump ship for at least another year while things get back to normal. Any thoughts on if it’s better to wait it out and leave after making M (but how long after?) or try to leave earlier? TIA

Good Evening My Fellow Christian Educators! I realize it is going to be challenging for me this year...with so many of my students performing below grade level expectations in ELA and MATH and also ensuring that all students follow the COVID Guidelines in the classroom. I still feel hopeful that God will bless me with the knowledge on how to effectively impact each one of those kids. Let's remember to keep all educators lifted in prayer this year. Have a wonderful school year!! God Bless All❤️

Hi, all the tax professionals here. I have a question. My client started a business to develop a new formula in year 2013. The business failed and my client decided to abandon the business in year 2019. During year 2013 and 2018, no loss or expenses were claimed on the return. Can he claim all the loss/ expenses on year 2019 return. If yes, what the tax code or regulation can apply to this case? I appreciate your insights.

I am due to take 2 weeks parental leave sometime in the next month and have an offer lined up. Is it better to tell the new place I would prefer to push my start date to take my leave and join two weeks after (accounting for 2 weeks of notice when I get back)? Would that be burning a bridge with current firm (taking leave and giving notice as soon as I am back)? I want to avoid losing 2 weeks of salary during that time if I can.
