Anyone have any book recommendations for real estate investing? There’s a lot of crap out there. Looking for a more serious book for someone who already understands finance and real estate basics.
Audio book recommendations?
Would you say summaries are as effective for self help books like "the subtle art of giving a fk" and other similar books? I feel the books themselves ramble on too much on a side story only to tell a point that could be summed up in a couple sentences. Or am I just not getting good book recommendations for growth/development on mental well being and productivity

Want to improve my verbal and written communication skills. I hear reading more would help but I don’t read as much as I used to. So I’m wondering what books would help with that? Should I just read books that tickle my fancy like suspense and true crime novels? Help! Welcome to all book recommendations!

23M here. Anybody have any tips or book recommendations on not feeling haunted by your past and anxiety about the future and consistently stay in a “FLOW STATE”.I’m currently reading the Power of Now. I have a habit of burning bridges because I feel that I’m perpetually trying to fit in and act “cool”. I feel that I’ve always been somewhat unconfident but every year it seems to be more and more difficult to manage and taxing emotionally. I go to the gym 4 times a week, try to eat clean, socializ
Any must-read book recommendations for folks in our field, especially for the younger crowd (e.g. Analysts/Consultants)?

What if the second round of interview went average & the first round went Fantastic. But both the interviewer have the sense that this person will work fantastic if I select him/her. What will company do then? do they select or reject the candidate? Happens at EY with me, now I'm in confusion 😕. Ideally I would give the chance if candidate has proven his leadership, learning & managing skills. Any EY person tell ? I know it is totally depends on the interviewer thought process but still?

I’m about to turn down an in house position at a client (I actively applied for the position). Any tips on specific language I should include in my email rejecting it? I don’t actually work with the client on any matters - it’s just a firm client so not sure if this even matters?
Has anyone left for a local firm and bounced back to top 10/big 4 or top 10? I've been interested in working at a local firm for some time, have an opportunity, but want the opportunity to get back to something larger if I learn I hate it.

Currently working at Accenture as a C (promoted Dec ‘19), but I know I ultimately want to make the jump over to Deloitte. I am on track to be promoted to M in the 2021 promo cycle and I know Deloitte would likely knock me down one level either way. Due to COVID-19, it seems like it doesn’t make sense to jump ship for at least another year while things get back to normal. Any thoughts on if it’s better to wait it out and leave after making M (but how long after?) or try to leave earlier? TIA
Good Evening My Fellow Christian Educators! I realize it is going to be challenging for me this year...with so many of my students performing below grade level expectations in ELA and MATH and also ensuring that all students follow the COVID Guidelines in the classroom. I still feel hopeful that God will bless me with the knowledge on how to effectively impact each one of those kids. Let's remember to keep all educators lifted in prayer this year. Have a wonderful school year!! God Bless All❤️
In the airport waiting for flight to board, even lounges are closed.... - oh my President, why do I need to work and fly even on your celebration day! ....
Hi, all the tax professionals here. I have a question. My client started a business to develop a new formula in year 2013. The business failed and my client decided to abandon the business in year 2019. During year 2013 and 2018, no loss or expenses were claimed on the return. Can he claim all the loss/ expenses on year 2019 return. If yes, what the tax code or regulation can apply to this case? I appreciate your insights.
What is your max class size for the year? Is that number based on a virtual or in person classroom?

I’m really thinking about going back to school to obtain an MBA in like 2 years. Are there any certification(s) that I should get to increase my chances of getting employed by one of the MBB firms in the meantime? TIA
Should I negotiate with the HR contact or the hiring manager? HR was the one communicating offer and having comp discussion, but HM reached out to offer to answer questions.
I am due to take 2 weeks parental leave sometime in the next month and have an offer lined up. Is it better to tell the new place I would prefer to push my start date to take my leave and join two weeks after (accounting for 2 weeks of notice when I get back)? Would that be burning a bridge with current firm (taking leave and giving notice as soon as I am back)? I want to avoid losing 2 weeks of salary during that time if I can.
