Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

78 sounds about right to me when you take the $15 toll into consideration
I feel like that’s a normal amount..
How is this a question? If that's the charge for a cab that's the charge...at times it can be over 120
You pay round trip tolls
What would you guys have done? Idk if i should have...
I’ve paid $100 before depending on the time of day. Why do you think it should have been $48?
I typically take Uber
I guess I’m out of touch with reality.
Glad I didn’t fight the dude over it, then
Uber from W57th can range anywhere from 45-85 to get to Newark. Just depends on time and demand.
Use Arro. Breaks down fare.
This problem was solved 5 years ago, yet here you are
Sounds about right.
This said, PATH + Airtrain is unbeatable (if you’re not schlepping too much luggage)
The yellow cab rate is spot on
The printed receipt and touch screen in the back of the cab also breaks down the fare...
The 15$ toll is for entering nyc not exiting
@D3: as OW2 said, you have to pay r/t tolls
As far as I remember there are 3 parts to this. Metered fare plus $15 (for the fact the cabbie cant pick up from Newark) plus round trip tolls. In this case, therefore its around $45 plus whats on the meter
D2 is correct. And don’t forget that there’s a Turnpike toll too, not just the tunnel
True that (or u take route 1)
