Can any ex Bainies/MBB please shed some light on the difference between leaving consulting to join Google S&O (or similar role) as an SAC (3 years out of undergrad) vs as a C2 (2 years post MBA + 3 years pre-MBA). What are the differences in role, responsibility, pay (level), and career trajectory. I’ve heard that leaving Bain at a more senior role might help you come in at a senior level at Google faster than if I left earlier and climbed the ladder from the bottom. Appreciate any insights :)

For questions as to why you are looking to leave your current firm.. I am looking to move because for some reason I am hand-held a lot and given simpler tasks, so I am getting bored and want more challenging / much more fast paced environment. Also kind of bored because I am on one project for a long time and I want exposure to variety of projects. Is this a fair answer or would I be seen as arrogant? Is there a better way to frame my answer?

Here is my idea for a startup! I collect all the data from career transitions and use Data Analytics to predict the most likely career transitions. I could start with consulting. What do you guys think about this? I would be able to predict based on your firm(mbb, big4), your experience, which role you are likely to move (Faang pm, strategy manager, move to mbb). I have all the data to do this, but wanted your thoughts. Would the output of this be relevant to you?
