Can anybody from McKinsey help me get a size estimate for the Charlotte and Austin offices versus a larger one like NYC or Chicago? Does applying to a smaller one hurt your chances? Or doesnt matter?

So I'm interviewing, have had loose salary conversation (talked about band but not specifics), and approaching the official offer stage. It's become clear the role is something I'm very well qualified for, but their pay expectations for the role are much lower than mine. How do I ask if I could be considered for a higher level position in the team in a higher salary band instead?

I was interviewed in March and uploaded all my docs in April and joined tcs in Sept.
My offer letter was released twice because of mismatch in experience by HR.
So my BGC is not scheduled after accepting offer letter 2nd time.

How do you feel about getting homework for jobs?

We're altering our interview process to eliminate a homework assignment we give to candidates. It's about 2 hours of varying difficulty questions.

The VP wants to replace it with a 1 hour pair programming exercise because he thinks experienced candidates won't bother with homework. A lot of my experienced colleagues would be fine with the homework as long as it was within reason.

What's the consensus? Homework or nah?

Does Google wait to reject all candidates at once, regardless of how far they progressed in the interview process? Or do they tell candidates after each round before starting the next round of interviews?
