I wouldn’t entirely ignore the subway suggestion. If there’s a lot of traffic that will be your best bet. From LGA take Q70 to Jackson Heights subway stop (it’s direct with no stops). Take the E to Sutphin and then jump on the AirTrain to JFK.
If you had a bunch of bags that would be annoying but otherwise you’d limit your traffic exposure significantly
Q70 bus - Budget approx 40mins (this is perhaps worst case. Took me 45mins from B at 5:30pm on Thurs) for transit to Jackson hts. From there to Jamaica stn is 20mins. Jamaica gets you the air train (++ ~15mins for terminals) .
I would think so. That’s if you do land at 430pm. Had a lot of flights into LGA delayed recently.
Easily
I wouldn’t risk it. The traffic can be awful
Yes, if your lands on time. N preferably not landing in Terminal B (that one’s a real bad boy. No Uber from arrivals)
Shuttle takes about 50-60 mins or a 30 minute Uber for around $30.
You could walk there in that time.
Uber you will be fine. Know that Uber at LGA picks up in a separate lot
I’d do the 6 hr layover and use lounge access at JFK if you get there early. Too much stress worrying about delays and traffic
Depends if you have checked baggage. If not, uber and you can make it.
Oh looks like I’ll likely be flying into terminal C 🙌🏻
sounds like it’s 50/50 split here 😭
I’ve done it on a 2 hour layover on a Sunday afternoon. YMMV
Take the helicopter shuttle. It is a thing
LGA delays can be really bad. In theory you'd have no problem but if a flight gets cancelled or delayed you might miss the connection.
Delays in/out of LGA and construction now.
DO NOT TAKE the 3.5hour layover, you’ll miss it for sure
@McKinsey2 "can I land in LGA at 4:30" hence fly into LGA
I can read perfectly well. A majority of comments which suggest it's a bad idea reference the ongoing construction and issues at LGA. My point is that those references are blown out of proportion
As mention multiple times the actual travel time to JFK isn't far so 3.5 hours should be fine for OP
... I’m dying here. What did you do? Did you make it?
