No, I make 125k and I pay $2500 for a studio. The margins on my budget aren’t that great; I have to live frugally due to how much housing takes out of my budget. I’m leaving Miami because doing anything in this city costs $150 dollars and housing rental costs are getting ridiculous. Live somewhere cheaper save more for your retirement. Come visit miami, but this city is pretty expensive to live in

125k and 2500 for rent still leaves you about 4-4.5k take home does it not? I’m missing what has to be frugal or am I just not a big spender?
Let’s define comfortably…
If you work remote and don’t need a car, that could really really help you. Honestly if you live downtown close to a grocery store and a gym, you can get away without one.
I think you would have to live pretty frugally with that budget. Rent is high and going out is expensive, but the beach high is always free 🤙

For two it might be too tight… I live with 100k just fine but 2 might be a stretch
I lived on 103 but I was struggling lol
Yea let’s define comfortably because off rip I want to say no but depends what yall consider comfortable
Yes!
Honestly it is going to be VERY hard to live comfortably on that salary. Like others mentioned it does depend on your definition of comfortable but money is going to be very tight from month to month on that salary.

These comments are really depressing as someone also making 130k looking to move to Miami. So what does one need to live “comfortably”

Yea fair point, I pay 3k where I am now on 130k and I do always say how tight it feels despite not making any extravagant purchases or going anywhere come to think of it and im only putting 6% in 401k
Two people in a studio, absolutely not. A comfortable amount to pay in rent on a 130k salary would be $2700 MAX, assuming you have zero debt obligations. 2700 should get you a solid one bed somewhere.
