Partner Interview (6th interview).
Good or Bad?
My referral had interviews w/ (1)
recruiter, (1) SM, then the series of
(3) 1:1's w/(1) MD and (2) SM's.
The recruiter said he will now have
an interview in Jan. w/ the PPMD.
He interviewed for a M role in
consulting for customer marketing.
11 YOFE
He does have a wide skill set and the
recruiter said it was all positive
feedback, just have to find out
where to put him (on the team he
interviewed for or another he is
qualified for).Deloitte
I recently interviewed for L7 EM at Google and had 4 great interviews and one not so great system design. I submitted external referrals all of which gave great feedback. The recruiter said the next step is team match/interviews and then the HC. Anyone in a similar situation? What was the result? Google
What’s the longest time you’ve waited to hear back after conducting your final loop interviews for FAANG Companies??? I finished mine last Thursday & they told me I will get my decision between 9/6 - 9/9.
I feel like this wait is torture!!!!!! I’m also a CW so hoping I get this role so I get converted over to an FTE.

If the goal is to get an interview, I’d recommend you move your focus from just referrals to actually learning about the organization.
Over the past month, I’ve sent cold LinkedIn messages to 30 people and gotten 6 responses. 1 led to a referral and another led to an interview. The one that led me to an interview was a cold message to the hiring manager where I asked for a brief call and shared my resume. After the call, I immediately got an interview request from the recruiter. The referral I got hasn’t even got me to an interview.
In summary, during your cold outreach focus on trying to learn more about the organization and if there’s an open role, focus on trying to learn more about the role. If you are speaking to the right people (like the hiring manager) you can be taken directly into the interview process even if you don’t have a referral. In the current market, referrals don’t really matter- you need to get in-front of the hiring manager or people who can influence them.
Get creative and figure out who they are and ask for 15mins of their time to learn more about the role. Goodluck
Yes I did. I just completed round 2 interview today
start with alumni from your school and current company on LinkedIn.
send them a message and say hey I came across this role at XXX. I saw you were a fellow YYY alumni, and wanted to see if you’d be open to chat about your time at XXX And if you were open to a referral.”
Most companies offer a referral bonus so if you’re a qualified candidate and are reaching out to alumni, you’ll get a lot better response rate.
