Federally they don’t exist unless you can itemize. And all SALT taxes are limited to 10k so any property tax impact is limited.

Depends on where you live really. If your state has low/no income tax the property taxes can help max that 10k limit. Interest expense the other benefit. Once I owned a house is when it made sense to start itemizing.
