Cause many B4 consultants don’t have technical skills so it’s a lower barrier of entry. Strategy/Ops popular for similar reasons but harder to get into IMO

After a few years every job gets boring. Maximizing hourly comp with the best boss is the way to go

Strategy/ops roles are pursued too. Not sure I've seen anything that inductees big 4 candidates prioritize program manager over s/o. At the end of the day, people take the best they can get.

Yeah, PM is the substitute for Strat consultants that couldn't stick the Product/Strategy/CorpDev roles or MCs that got stuck on PMO projects and are trying to pivot to Product/Strat
