Any advice on getting started in UX?
Hi Fishes, Y.O.E 7.5+ years. Tata Consultancy TCS is offering 25LPA including variable pay and everything. So just 15% increment on my current salary since they mentioned I am leaving my current organization within 1 year.
They mentioned 8-12% is VP plus 80k from that salary is paid at the end of each year. Is it a good enough salary for 7.5+ yoe candidate. Also any heads up for the things I should look out for will be really helpful.
Hello Verizon fellows, In Deloitte, there's a facility to claim a certain reimbursement for purchasing mobile devices through their portal or something. Similarly, do VDSI employees have any discounts or reimbursement for purchasing devices through Verizon? If so, kindly let me know how to check it out. Thanks in advance.

The work consists of merger integration, operational due diligence, separation management. I-banking hours at half the pay sounds about right but you do get breaks when the projects slow down. The exit options are usually internal M&A, internal strategy groups or PE. Probably similar to MBB but you have to work harder to get the jobs.
DDV = Delivering Deal Values...formally M&A Advisory. It's supposed to be an internal term but it's being used more broadly these days. We aren't I-bankers and never claim to be...you must be thinking of our FDD or Valuations team that's different. P4 is pretty on about the exit opportunities but I disagree on having to work harder to get there...we do the same work as the M&A integration teams at ATK or McK. I've worked with both on projects...and have been on teams that displace other firms as the preferred provider when the others can't deliver
They also work much longer hours pretty intense, you should check em out they have a pretty strong pipeline in terms of work.
I meant $ in terms of the revenue they bring in, have heard the name dropped more than a few times now
Not in DDV but have been on projects in the group and found it was similar to other parts of the firm... you get lucky or unlucky based on project. Would be interested in exits though
.....also most people come into the group with MBAs it's a big pipeline for us, we're starting to hire more associates but our recruiting used to be heavy on the MBA side
Pretty good group I wouldn't say "extremely" they handle PMO for MA deals or carve outs. They make the same as everyone else.
Specialist Track in Deloitte is the same..
You will work I-banker hours in that group at half the pay...go figure
P4 I'm sorry but exits are not even close to MBB or I banking. Maybe if you network like crazy but not enough to say it's even a remotely regular occurrence to exit into PE. Most people I know in that group leave for a solid top 20) MBA because their skill set isnt very specific.
Internal M&A/Strategy sounds pretty good to me. Has anyone been in that position at a F500 before?
