Just graduated and will be joining consulting soon. I don't know what I am passionate about / what I want to do in life and my long term career. How do I find my "passion"? Will consulting help?

Consulting will help you build a 2x2 matrix decision tree to determine what your potential passions could be 🤣

Consulting teaches you what you know, don’t know, enjoy, can’t tolerate, and everything in between

Lol no but you’ll learn pretty quickly what you hate

At first, most of the things you do will help you figure out what you don’t want to do, until you stumble upon the thing you do want to do. Try a lot, fail a lot, learn a lot!

Help in finding what you're passionate about? Nah. It will help by dwindling the passion you already have though.

Hey all! My organization is looking to hire an Account Manager/Director/Customer Success person that will be managing junior consulting resources with clients. They will be placing them with those clients and then managing them. Are there any roles like this out there in the ecosystem or that maybe some of you are currently in? What kind of job title do you have if you are in a role like this? This is a brand new role for us and uncharted territory haha

I currently work in Private (GA) Aviation & have for some time (about 12 years) I’m currently making the switch to the Department of Aviation and am unsure if I should ditch my current job (in private) and go full force with the DOA & embrace this new opportunity educationally and gather as much experience as I can or keep both jobs even though I’d be working 80hr weeks.. I love the private world but am really ready to move up. I don’t know what I should do. Any suggestions?

Ok, I’m gonna say this. Schools should open. Now hear me out. My wife is a family doctor, she is working insane hours, she is treating covid patients, and there is a lot of days when she has to stay at the hospital without coming home. My neighbour works in a local grocery store, so he has been at work since the Day 1 of lockdown. So if you need medical help, or want to eat, it’s ok for those people to be at work, but their kids have to stay home? Cont’d >>

I see several posts from people asking how they can help during these times with a few extra $$$ to spend. Here is just one of many ideas.

#stepuptothetable is about helping local restaurants who are struggling during these times. I have seen numerous linkedin posts with videos where people challenge each other to step up to the table & buy meals & gift cards from their community restaurants. A great way for those of us who are more fortunate to support business & keep people employed.

With product design questions, I struggle to identify user groups. Once I do everything starts flowing and I’m confident. But the initial identification of user groups is something I find challenging. What’s your go-to way of doing this? For example, the question “design a podcasting app for truck drivers.” What types of truck drivers can I select so that I can prioritize a user group to focus on and begin identification of pain points and solutions?
