Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

Try to have a dedicated workspace with room for your computer and whatever else you need. At minimum a table/desk that is fully yours with a comfortable chair. Set up speakers, monitors, noise-silencing headphones, and whatever else you need assuming you have all this at home. No tv in the background and minimal noise (excepting roommates taking work calls, children, or pets). Work in set hours and eat at regular times. Take breaks thoughtfully and do not turn on netflix or check non-work outlets (facebook, blogs, etc.) any more than you would in a regular office workday. Think about check-ins with colleagues- you may need more scheduled meetings to balance the lack of office interaction and make sure you’re still communicating smoothly. This may be a bit of a ramble but I hope it helps!
Damn good for you. My morning alarm clock is now at 8am and it’s still a struggle for me to get out of bed.
