I have received offer from Wipro which is little above than the offer that I am holding but fixed pay is less. Thinking of rejecting Wipro offer. Is it better to reject or accept and then not join. Also if I reject, will there be any issue like they won't consider me in future?Tata Consultancy Wipro Cognizant Infosys

It's the result of a bunch of us making decisions based on $ and not what we are passionate about
It’s definitely in other fields too. Every lawyer I’ve met said don’t become a lawyer. Every doctor said the same. When I worked at subway in high school my manager bitched all the time.
You’ll find complaining at any job where there’s pressure to perform. Add in a bunch of type-a personalities and it’ll be exacerbated.
You join Consulting if you are low risk, smart, want to live a upper middle class lifestyle and have no idea what your passions are
I think consulting has a lot of high highs and low lows so it's easy to complain and then fell great about it again
Yup I gave up my dream job that paid horribly for this
I think part of it is the younger generation, who have different expectations of what professional life is like vs the reality. Recruiters also sell a dream that doesn’t really exist in consulting
The grass is always greener.....
For me the work is fine and complain mostly about the travel, travel delays, missing out on doing things with my SO and family, trying to cram personal life activities into weekends (like what doctor or dentist has Saturday hours)....
Oh please like middle age men and women don’t complain about their job just as much as the rest of us
Uhm KPMG1, no. They don’t typically .
I disagree I hear middle age employees complain more than most
I don't think anything is wrong with us. I would have liked to be a professional baseball player, but I can't, so i have been in this job 11+ years, and actually do enjoy it. The industry, consulting, retail..and every other job out there is all very much the same, all things considered. Our industry makes more money and gets exposure to things most people cant even dream about. Make the most of your time and experience, have fun, and don't complain frequently. It's easy to complain, but it's way more enjoyable if you flip negative situations into positive experiences.
Agree with D3. I can’t think of many other jobs that let you do so many different types of work. I’d know - before consulting I did the exact same job for 4 years (in the same company) and wanted to kill myself! When I get a crappy project now, I know it will end soon and I’ll get a different one soon enough. Been doing this for 6 years now, yet to get bored. Sure, I complain about day-to-day things but it’s all about the long-term.
@KPMG1 debatable. FYI I’m 29
I do it for the money not for the joy of it
I think the mistake being made hear is people are thinking of fishbowl and not in person. In person middle age people complain more while millennials complain on apps more when it comes to work
