Hello fishes,
I have 8.5 year .net full stack+azure. I am having below offers
1. honeywell - 24lpa fix - advance software engineer
2. Kpmg global - 25 lpa fix +1jb -assistant manager 3. Pearson education - 27.5 lpa ( 25 fix +2.5 variable) - .net specialist
4. Smc squared 26 lpa fix + 1jb - technical lead
5. Schneider electric ( in pipeline) for staff engineer
Which ones to choose according to wlb, job security and new learning
Honeywell KPMG Schneider Electric
Bain & Company Contemplating a move from Accenture Strategy to Strategy&, or Monitor Deloitte. Part of my consideration is the assumption that WLB is likely to be better than at McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, or Bain & Company. Could any of you fellow European fishies shed some light on the validity of this assumption? Sharing experiences would be highly appreciated.

Work life balance is very much encouraged in EY in Ireland - there is a big focus on people and it’s not rhetoric; leadership know that to continue to grow, while keeping our great people, work needs to be sustainable. Travel at present is non-existent and even before covid was quite limited with many of our clients based in/around Dublin. You will get home every evening, will get to switch off most evenings and have your weekends free (on balance).
What level are you coming in at? It’s much better in most cases than the US, up to senior consultant. Finished by 5.30/6 most days (project dependent though). I’ve only ever had to work a handful of weekends in 2.5 years and most people never do them.
Generally no expectation to be online all evening so you can actually switch off in the evening.
Limited amount of travel, even before COVID.
You'll definitely have a better work-life balance, but I wouldn't move for less. Personal income tax is high in Ireland and cost of living, esp housing in Dublin is very expensive. So even on the same salary, you're take home pay will likely be lower, and discretionary income lower again.
You'll be on call as D, and may have the odd weekend when times are busy, but by and large, people finish before 7 and have plenty of free time to themselves.
