Hi fishes,
Why TCS is so rude and self proclaimed kinda. I declined TCS offer last year as they were giving very less CTC. Now I got interviewed again with TCS and cleared all the rounds but they are not reactivating my ibegin portal for document upload since I rejected them last year...in this way u think they will never ever reactivate my profile.

This is significantly better than my comp. What area?
You should definitely negotiate something for cases you originate.
@senior manager. I do get 5-10%. My base is just too low. I'm costing the firm about 20% of what I bring in inclusive of the 5-10%
I jump to 15% after $750k, but I get 10%. This has been pretty profitable for me. My 10% also jumps up for cases I bring in. Perhaps you can propose reworking the numbers? I’m at a very very small firm as well!
I don't know though are you really making $700,000 or 2.1M a year. If that's the case never look a gift horse in the mouth. Don't be greedy. That's excellent pay. Plus a base of $100k. Good luck. I can tell you're making well over a million. Best wishes and take care.
You should get no less than 30% of everything you bring in. Otherwise, what’s to prevent you from referring out those cases and taking a referral fee? This is almost universal. It is, however, very unusual for you to get a percentage of cases that you settle that the firm originates. And if you handling high-volume, 2.1 million settlements isn’t outlandish. It depends on the portfolio mix. does the firm handle cases that settle for a half $1 million or 1 million? Or is everything 3 to 6 months of treatment soft tissue auto accident bullshit?
Getting a percentage of cases the originates with the firm is not unusual, and is actually the norm in NYC. I also know that Morgan & Morgan has the comp structure nationwide as well. The firm ends up making more money in the end now that the associate actually has an incentive to push hard for bigger settlements. I never understood why some firms were so adverse to this arrangement
