Cost of living's gone up, but my paycheck hasn't. 💸 It's been two years since my last raise, and I'm starting to feel the pinch. I know I'm a valuable asset to the team, but I'm also worried about coming off as entitled if I ask for more money. Any advice on how to approach this conversation with my boss? How do you ask for a raise without sounding like you're demanding a handout?

PA’s are in high demand. Speaking as one with a lot of years of service. Do they not have an annual performance review process? I would start there to first get feedback on your skills and competency. Then share your desires for merit increase. Can you get your hands on state or national pay averages? Or your RVUs and productivity? If the answer is no you may want to interview and receive another offer and let hello renegotiation or leave.

So, you’ve reached the stage of your career where you care more about cashing a fat paycheck than making “creative ads”. You’d rather have the resources and free time to fulfill your creative itch outside of work than try to sell the next big idea to an 28 year old marketing manager with an annual budget of 150k. How do you make the absolute most money as a copywriter while still working a 9-5? Asking for... a... friend?

Do tech companies in Canada give out RSUs or equivalent?

I was Listening to a podcast today about people in US tech getting rich from 50k to 100k of annual RSUs in the US that vest over 3 to 5 years then making millions when the company exits.

Wondering if there are similar opportunities in Canada or is it less common to receive a decent amount of equity here?

I’m extremely grateful but just wanted to see if this was acceptable for the industry. I’m mixed methods and they want to build out their quant side. Should I accept as is?
