Need some advice here. I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Microsoft Google Adobe PwC EY Citi Barclays JPMorgan Chase

Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

From Accountant to Registered Nurse.
Yup, that’s everywhere, depending on where you go. You will never see a corporate nursing manager working on the floor, even if it’s extremely short-staffed. They don’t care.
Plus team members not pulling their weight, etc. examples, nurses in shifts before you not doing everything that they should have done for the patient. nursing assistants not doing their work so you have to pick up their slack and your day gets behind. People not answering their call lights/hiding and not attending to their patients. Plus healthcare is extremely short staffed so people don’t really get fired for “bad performance” and you have to keep working with these horrible performers. A lot of people in healthcare just do it for the money and are very mean-spirited. It’s sad
