Additional Posts in Consulting
Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

At SM and above, MBB total comp is about double. I’ve worked at both
It depends on level. At undergrad and MBA, our base is about the same. Bonus is minuscule at undergrad and ok at MBA. After 2yrs pay is 30% less at a minimum, as base growth is slow and bonuses are half. The next difference is intensity and survivability. At MBB, you could be out the door in 1yr for the same effort that would get you promoted elsewhere.
Not sure if anything is different this year but we matched undergrad bases with MBB last year
The person from McKinsey replying is bang on correct. I am an SM in ACN Strat. Which translates to Principal/Partner/Associate Principal etc roles in MBB. Call them the year1 through year4 "senior manager" roles. I know lots (more than 15) folks at my level in MBB. Compared to them I earn 50-60% less, and no I am not a deadbeat bottom bucket SM at ACN Strat. I am comparing top box to top box. Its sometimes less than half, what we earn vs MBB. It sucks. Saving grace being somewhat better WLB.

At MBB you stop counting money . Most people refer to their compensation as “ a lot” or “plenty” . It is not feasible to spend this type of money - so it is turning to just random big numbers in your bank accounts / funds 1 which most MBB folks will probably give back to society later on as donations

Well , joking aside it is quite insane compensation . Folks with 4 years experience making $350k++ …
I came into ACN with 3 years experience in industry and now I’m in S&C as a consultant making $135k base. I have no MBA or Masters, just a BS in engineering from a non core or ivy school. Seems like ACN rewards good performers but I know there’s a big pay difference within each level.
I’d be pretty surprised if MBA comp at ACN is in parity with MBB. I guess it depends what your definition of a material difference is, but at the associate level you’re probably looking at ~$20k more in TC at MBB (based on what I know about classmates’ offers out of b school).
The base offer is more. But you have to factor in the $50k in tuition reimbursement, the $20-30k post MBA bonus (separate from performance), and the bigger signing bonus. First year is definitely on par if not better than MBB. Though after that it’s not.

I thought it was more of the reverse, with partner income being more similar between B4 and MBB, with MBB still being substantially mote, but MBB paying a ton more than B4 at every level before, on a percentage basis.

Ok, guess I was wrong then
Sad, guess I should switch to MBB lol

Accenture strat was significantly lower than what I’m making now at AP
