The $25k increase is nice for sure, but not sure if it's worth it given the in office requirements as well as the increase in responsibilities and workload as a manager in public accounting. Ultimately depends what you want long term
Pro
Will it cause more time away from the children? If so, just decide if that's worth the extra money. Also will new job be more OT?
After taxes, idk that the 25k bump makes it worth it if you love the flexibility that much. If you factor in taxes and the cost of the commute annually, does it in the net still seem appealing to you? I’d think it all the way through.
I have a 1 and a 3 year old too. I would PAY to keep working from home.
I would stay at your current job and if you want more money ask for it next time you have a review. Pick up a few more little responsibilities.
Unless you hate your team or your boss or direct reports.
Age 1 and 3 and fully remote and flexible is very valuable. More than 25k pre tax, I would say.
(Unless you are deep in debt and this step up is going to help get you out of a hole, and help you get to further career promotions, especially if you are your family's sole income earner)
As a mother of an almost one year old I know now why women who are mothers often earn less. We often make decisions based on something more important than money.

This is so true. I was PT while I had 4 children. Did I make less? Of course. But the time I had with them and money I saved on daycare more than made up for it.
Listen to the ladies and moms here as they offer sound advice. As a granddad I can appreciate the positive impact it has when time is spent with children at such as young age.
