S& hands down. LEK is a sweatshop. I also hear S& pay is pretty good vs. market, but that’s from what I’ve heard, no hard stats 🤷♂️
Seems like the rest of S& has a better WLB that than Deals Strategy team 😂. But it sounds like hours across both DS and LEK are similar.
Chief
I would avoid LEK.
Money is good, but I’ve heard consistently from friends working about how toxic the culture is.
Dont the offers include salary information?
Well yes, but I’m asking more about salary growth. Prob should have been more specific
You like the people at both? Have you met anyone beyond the recruiting team?
But do they like the people they work with?
Post MBA (C) is 210-220 with typical performance, up to 230
Manager to Senior manager is ~280-350 and Principal is 400ish
I’d go for Strategy& personally. You’ll be bored out of your mind at LEK (no offence to the guy above).
How could you be bored of a pie eating contest where the reward is more pie?
I’d also avoid LEK. A close relative of mine works there and he’s planning to leave. Heard many offices have toxic culture.
If you're okay with mostly doing CDD work over and over again, then S& deals. Target TC for post MBA SA is ~ 168 + 25k + 30k sign on
I'm in S& DS - haven't had to work more than 50-55 hrs/wk since I joined.
SA. I've gotten lucky with projects and managers. Don't think it's the norm.
Had two friends develop chronic health issues at lek
