Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?

The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?

I agree, invoking a family always comes off as a red flag. Something else that should be avoided is saying an organization seeks a "passionate" individual. That can be read as looking for someone who is so motivated they can be underpaid. And companies need to stop looking for rock stars, gurus, and ninjas. Please.

I agree with this. Any time a company says family, I prepare for unpaid emotional cleanup. Words like passionate and rockstar usually mean underpaid with a smile.
You must look for good people who are passionate about their work.

Yeah this could go both ways, either a really caring company that is supportive like family, or very clicky and off when someone new joins. That would make me feel a bit uneasy if I heard that phrase.
