You will be able to live pretty comfortably with rent at 2k
People pay a lot more that make a lot less. Btw - go with Chicago
I like Boston more
Ur fine
That’s more than doable. 120K post tax in both cities is ~7100 a month. 2100/7100 is about 29-30% of take home pay. That’s reasonable for rent imo.
Definitely, I make 110 and pay ~1800 post utilities with zero problems. No problems last year when I made 100 either.
Yeah tbh at anything 100k+, you’re good
Why not buy a house ? Or find a spot cheaper and save up for house
Living in a city = more fun
i live in chicago in lincoln park comfortably with 80K. you do NOT have to spend 2K per month. get a real estate agent. they are free and it’s much better to rent privately than through a massive apartment complex - way cheaper too (at least in Chi)
lol yes
Yea you’re good
Chicago is a lot more affordable thinking of moving there myself
You can live comfortably in Chicago for 95k tbh
