Feel like the job description didn't actually match the role, doing mostly research-related tasks and have 0 client interation. Just received an offer for Accenture strat (M&A) group, with sizeable TC increase. Is the change worth it: client interaction + travel + involved fully in project?or is the "downgrade" to accenture too large to outway the benefits. Headhunters love MBB.

Is it worth joining Accenture Strategy as a Consultant (L9) with 6 YoE? How is the quality of projects ? What is work life balance like? How about base salary, bonus, perks?

Hi everyone just left my permanent role to go the contractor route. Currently employed through a staffing company so I am a W-2 but plan on going the independent route. They offer insurance and 401k. I understand I’ll need to start an LLC. Any advice or things you wish you’d have known when you first started? Would you advise I stay with the staffing? I would like to hit fire between 40-50. Currently 27, 185k total comp (125 for me and 60 for partner). Like my job don’t hate it don’t love it. Does an MBA make sense? I’m guessing it could take me to 170ish with that schools I’m looking at but wondering if the 40-50 retirement range makes an mba not make sense since I’d only have 10-20 years to save vs 12-22.

1: EY - FDD, home city, very good $$ for FDD

2: PwC - post-merger integration, DDV team (essentially M&A Consulting) - bigger city, always been keen to move

Coming as a Senior in Audit, with recent FDD exposure (2 deals, obviously not much). I was looking for something more than just number crunching, wanting a mix of quant / quali / strategic work. M&A Advisory or a Corp Strategy role is where I'm looking to end up long term.
