I’m on the consulting side (FDD) and I’m curious if there are PE firms with good WLB. I’m happy with my pay, growth, and hours. PE interests me but I don’t understand why anyone would want to consistently work 65+ hours a week every week. What’s the appeal? Making double the pay? What’s the exit plan?

I’m totally empathetic to people that miss offices and traveling. I understand your reasons why, I truly do.

For me personally, after non-stop weekly travel for 4 straight years, not traveling has made me realize how much I enjoy being home. Spending time with family, sleeping in your own bed, consistent exercise schedule, etc.

I for one hope consulting becomes more of a hybrid travel model (i.e. travel 1-2x per month or as needed). Else it won’t be for me.

Anyways, just some thoughts.

How do I be a decent manager to a coworker who's upset I've been promoted twice in two years and they haven't? We started out as coworkers, became decent friends after a few good moments, but went back to simply coworkers after they flubbed a few projects and I had to step in to clean up. Will this experience help me move into SaaS or dev sales in the future? The money is attractive, but looking to sell in the tech space long term. Is MPS as the primary product a bad way to start my tech sales career?

Looking for some advice on a couple of offers I have.

The first offer is for an Account Executive position at a smaller company with a base of $50k and another $20k in OTE.

The second offer is for a BDR position at a larger and faster growing company with a base of $60k and another $20k in OTE. Also some stock options but they aren’t public yet.

I have 2 YOE as a BDR and think I could succeed in either position. Both have hybrid work set ups. Any thoughts or advice is appreciated! Thanks.
