Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?
Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

You do realize SC at Deloitte is like a CO equivalent, right? Plenty of Big 4 are hiring if that’s the route you want. Apply at a Manager or Sr Manager level instead. You should be targeting a 25% increase rather than 20% decrease. Take advantage of the current market.
Agreed please don’t join with reduction in pay salary. I have hired Deloitte hiring from other big 4 with a jump of 30-40%. Once you are in the increments are pretty lousy if you are not one of the mafia gangs
Congratulations! Deloitte makes you work like crazy hours, you’ll be always busy with community and what not. Also, it doesn’t makes sense to take a pay cut and do more work, lol. Plus, signing bonus is just one time only. I suggest stay at Capco, benefits of Capco are much better compare to Deloitte
Hard NO! Why would you think that?? Consulting these days isn’t as prestigious as in the past to warrant lower pay.
12 yrs in TPM would put you in manager/sr manager range. You’ve the skills to lead. SC is a doer role. Unless you aspire to do busy work, in the weeds, otherwise you’ll find it very unfulfilling/unsatisfying. You’re more valuable than what they see. Don’t go backwards. Aim higher, unless you’ve a circumstance that’s making you taking a back seat for now.
Nah
Depends on how comfortable you are at Capco. I’m at Capco too and I’m not in it to get partner. Just make money and chill. Plus you have inflation to worry about.
Hell no. Don’t ever take a pay cut.
OP, contrary to what everyone is saying here, I would advice you to take the pay cut and join D. Believe it or not, the brand name will come in handy when you want to exit D in 1-2 years.
Take it and run before you get Wipro’d
I’ve looked at Deloitte before. I’m fairly certain some of their benefits (namely, vacation and sick leave policy) aren’t as good as ours. I really value my time away from the office and so I’ve never looked too hard at D. That reduction in benefits plus the pay cut doesn’t seem worth it to me. Especially this close to year end when bonuses are likely to be strong at Capco.
Nope
what's the bonus% you have as a PC at Capco?
What’re you getting paid now?
185k
I’m inclined to agree with SC1 but it also depends on if you’re happy at Capco, your performance evaluations, willingness to travel, etc.
Pro
How long have you been at Capco OP? I am under-leveled and under-paid and looking to jump.
I wouldn't....and I like D. Go to acn, they'll prob bring you in as mgr and match or get close to your base now. Curious though, which group st D did you get the SC offer for?
CBO
Thankyou for your comments guys!
My mind says to stay but heart says to move on to D since it’s level 3 of SC (per recruiter it shud be quick move to MC1 in a year, not sure how much of tht is true). I’ll try to negotiate to MC1 though, not sure how much D recruiter would budge or have possibility.
Agree - Deloitte doesn't allow promotion in one year. It will take two years to get there. Dont get stucked!
Is it worth moving to Capco for 27 LPA ? As senior consultant ?
Is it a senior role - They say the Role is AVP
How long have you been at Capco?
Trying to gauge since you look like you are at the upper end of PC.
